Poker and Game Theory
Gaming can be fascinating, challenging, and always funny; indeed it has its own serious research behind. Simulation applied to gaming theory is interesting to hightlight.
The Challenge of Poker is a Game Theory research applied to poker, published on Journal Artificial Intelligence.

A free poker simulator can be downloaded in this online poker site, which recommends Master Poker Software (download from here). The computer opponents play with a challenging A.I. in this software.
Models with Distrimobs
One key field of application of this software is represented by mobility modelling: under some circumstances, game theory can also be applied to predict people's movements.
Distrimobs was applied with Mobilis, a simulator based on a mathematical-physics model of asystematic mobility (see under: Simulation).

A quote on Sciences
There are fields of scientific exploration which have been explored from different sides of pure mathematics, statistics, electrical engineering and neurophysiology in which every single notion receives a different name from each group...
It is these boundary regions of science which offer the richest opportunities to the qualified investigator.
